Mysore 10th - 12th, December 2008

Me and my roomate Gisela when we finished with the volunteering program we decide to continue together to the north!

The Maharaja's Palace.

Mysore is best known as the City of Palaces
or Mysuru one of the ten cities which change their name at Dec. 2007. Mysore is the old capital city of Karnataka state well known for the rich silks, exotic sandalwood, handicrafts, incense oils and sticks.

St. Philomena's Church, built in the gothic style, the Church is an imposing structure
with stained windows and lofty towers.

At a government small industry learning how to make incense sticks!

a sea of flowers, smells of jasmin and colors...

The local market...

Every evening I was listening at the Imam's voice,
calling the muslim pilgrims for the daily prayer. It was my favorite hour.
